Russian military bloggers have published what appears to be the first publicly available imagery showing the wreckage of a Ukrainian-operated Ruta Block 1 cruise missile following an operational strike. If confirmed, the discovery would mark the combat debut of the Dutch-developed precision weapon.
The photographs, which began circulating on Russian Telegram channels, depict missile debris consistent with the design of the Ruta Block 1. Although the exact location of the strike and the intended target remain unknown, the images provide the strongest public indication to date that the missile has entered operational service with Ukrainian forces.
The recovered wreckage includes sections of the fuselage, internal components, and part of the tail assembly. While the authenticity of the imagery has not been independently verified, the debris closely matches the known design characteristics of the Ruta Block 1.
In addition to the wreckage, unverified footage has also surfaced online that purportedly shows the missile in flight en route to its target.
Ukraine has traditionally maintained strict operational security regarding its newest long-range strike capabilities, often withholding official confirmation until months after they have entered combat service.
