MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 7 – RT is expanding its presence in India with the launch of RT Hindi, a new digital news platform for the Hindi-speaking audience, just nine months after RT India began broadcasting in English in December 2025.

“We want to speak not only about India but also with India – that’s why now we are also available in Hindi,” RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said.

The new multimedia portal, RTHindi.com, goes live on September 7, offering text reports, news video and analysis in Hindi. The platform is aimed at an audience of more than 500 million across India, bringing it domestic and international news in a simple, accessible format with a fresh perspective that has long become RT’s trademark.

The new site features Hindi-language access to RT India television programming and other RT content including a geopolitical talk show hosted by former Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and a weekly author’s program on Russian-Indian relations presented by RT India News Service head Runjhun Sharma.

“RT Hindi marks a new stage in India-Russia media ties. Hindi is spoken by hundreds of millions of people and the new platform, guided by its global slogan Question More, brings RT’s coverage directly to Hindi-speaking audiences”, Runjun Sharma said.

RT India was launched in December 2025 by RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who attended the ceremony during a state visit to New Delhi. Since then, RT India has built a newsroom of more than 100 journalists and production staff in the Delhi-NCR region, producing daily news bulletins, documentaries and interview programs for English-speaking audiences.

The international RT television network includes news channels in English, Arabic, Spanish, German, Serbian, and French, as well as the RTD documentary channel in Russian and English. RT also operates online portals in ten languages and the global multimedia agency RUPTLY, which supplies exclusive content to broadcasters worldwide. RT is available 24/7 to more than 950 million viewers in over 100 countries.
