Germany is set to provide Ukraine , an interesting weapon.
The German Ministry of Economics has officially approved the arms company Donaustahl to manufacture and export FPV drones of the “Maus” type. The first customer for these advanced drones will be the Ukrainian drone unit Kraken. According to Donaustahl, the “Maus” system can be used in surveillance and offensive roles.
The Kraken Regiment is a Ukrainian military volunteer unit, part of the Spetsnaz units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR). Formed in 2022 in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kraken has become a key component in Ukraine’s defense strategy.
This is one of the most effective volunteer formations fighting in Ukraine, known for receiving top-tier equipment. Previously, they were equipped with "Black Hornet" microdrones. Maus is conceptually similar to improvised FPV drones but is technically better.
