As stated by Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, a narco-trafficking vessel affiliated with Designated Terrorist Organizations in the US Southern Command area of responsibility has been neutralized. Four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. It was further added that the strike was conducted in international waters just off the coast of Venezuela and the vessel was thought to be transporting substantial amounts of narcotics.
President Trump has designated many cartels, including in Mexico, Ecuador and Venezuela, as terrorist organizations – granting US authorities more powers in their response to them.
