The US military is taking no chances as it prepares for a possible showdown in the Middle East.
As per reports, the Pentagon has ordered the relocation of at least 2 “Patriot” batteries and a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile defense system from Asia to the Middle East in the past few days.
The reports are in line with a huge number of military cargo flights to the Middle East over the last week by the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC).
Flight data indicates dozens of C-17 Globemaster IIIs and several C-5 Galaxys have been flying from locations in Asia such as Osan Air Base in South Korea to different bases in the Middle East like Isa Air Base in Bahrain, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and Djibouti International Airport near Yemen.
