Israel’s Arrow 3 air defense system successfully intercepted a missile headed toward the country, marking the first combat intercept for the system
The IDF said in a statement,
“Israeli Air Defense Array soldiers successfully launched an ‘Arrow 3’ interceptor operationally for the first time this evening. The interceptor effectively intercepted a target launched towards Israel in the Red Sea region,”
The ballistic missile is suspected to have been launched by Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen and targeted at the southernmost city of Eilat, reported The Times of Israel.
