After having taken out second and third-tier leadership, Israel has managed eliminate Hassan Nasrallah along with several other senior Hezbollah officials.
The devastating onslaught leveled six residential apartment complexes, reducing them to rubble.
Nasrallah was very important and relevant – he was essentially in control of Lebanon.
Being Hezbollah’s leader, he also had an immense influence within the region as Iran’s biggest player.
Nasrallah became the leader of Hezbollah after the Israelis assassinated the previous leader, Musawi, in 1992.
He was credited in Lebanon and the Arab world for ending the Israeli occupation of the South of Lebanon.
