Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova expressed “extreme alarm” at the car bomb explosion on Monday near Delhi’s historic Red Fort which killed 13 people and injured over 20 others.

”We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” she said in a statement on Wednesday.

She added that Russia resolutely condemns terrorism in all forms and advocates for the eradication of this evil, calling for solidarity among the international community to “effectively counter this threat.”

Expressing condolences to the victims of the Islamabad blasts outside a district court complex that killed 12 people on Tuesday, Zakharova said, “this act of villainy deserves the most decisive condemnation.” She urged all countries to unite in a “joint rebuff to this barbarism.”

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the security agencies are investigating all angles of the Delhi blast, adding that the authorities will “hunt down each and every culprit behind this incident.”
