Arleigh Burke-class destroyer is one of the most crucial assets of the U.S. Navy’s surface fleet -it won’t to wrong to say that it’s the backbone.
These destroyers are considered to be one of the best in the world and have operated in waters far from American coasts, carrying out a wide range of missions. Currently, the US Navy possesses around 73 active warships of this class.
The Type 055 destroyer is a class of guided missile destroyers being constructed for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy Surface Force.
China plans to build 16 of these and 8 are currently in service.
The Type 055’s spec sheet is impressive and the presence of these warships significantly enhances China’s naval capabilities. Many analysts view the Type 055 as a formidable rival to any surface combatant globally, including the Arleigh Burke-class warship.
