U.S. Navy SH-60 helicopters repelled an attack by Iran-backed Houthi militants on a Maersk container vessel in the Red Sea, sinking three ships and killing 10 militants.
This account is confirmed by American, Maersk, and Houthi officials.
US forces intervened when Houthi small boats crew attempted to board the container ship in the Red Sea.
The action was in response to a help call from the container ship
