A-10 Thunderbolt IIs from the 354th Fighter Squadron, stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, have been deployed to the Middle East. This move is part of the United States’ swift deployment of airpower to the region in response to the unexpected attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7.
As per U.S. officials, while their precise location is currently undisclosed, the arrival of these A-10s will complement the Warthogs from the 75th Fighter Squadron, which are already operating in the region.
A-10 Thunderbolt II commonly referred to as the "Warthog" is designed to provide CAS or Close Air Support.
