The latest wave of strikes targeted a shipping hub, railway infrastructure, and power substations, the Defense Ministry has said

Russian forces have struck logistics and energy facilities supporting Ukraine’s army, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said, adding that some attacks hit railroads used to bring military cargo from the EU.

In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said that a group strike involving high-precision weapons and drones attacked “logistics centers through which military cargo is supplied and distributed.” Among the targets was a Nova Poshta logistics center in Odessa Region used for military purposes and two power substations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions that supported local port logistics.

The ministry added that railway facilities in western Ukraine were also struck, noting that they were used as routes to move military cargo from European countries.

Ukrainian officials claimed that the overnight raid involved more than 450 drones across the country.

Odessa Region Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed the barrage, saying that it had damaged warehouses, as well as a residential building and several private homes, with fires breaking out at several locations. He said preliminary information indicated no casualties.

Footage on social media, meanwhile, showed what was described as a massive fire at the Nova Poshta warehouse.

In Ivano-Frankivsk Region, western Ukraine, Governor Svetlana Onischuk said that a drone attack damaged an industrial facility and an apartment building. Separately, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that a logistics warehouse in the Borispol district not far from Kiev also came under attack.

The new barrage comes as Ukraine has intensified long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia, targeting critical infrastructure, oil refineries, and civilian facilities, including e-retail warehouses. Moscow has retaliated by attacking Ukraine’s defense industry and military-related facilities, and maintains that it never targets civilians.
