On Oct 7, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel from Gaza Strip.
Hamas militants fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of fighters into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip in an unprecedented early morning attack. Backed by a barrage of rockets, dozens of Hamas militants broke out of the blockaded Gaza Strip and carried out indiscriminate killings.
