A massive emergency response has been deployed near the city’s convention center

Multiple people, including two police officers, have been shot in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, triggering a massive law-enforcement response near the city’s convention center.

The shooting unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in the area of 15 East Grant Street, according to city officials. The address corresponds to Loring Towers, a high-rise apartment complex in the city’s Loring Park neighborhood.

“The Minneapolis Police Department is on the scene of a shooting in the area of 15 E Grant St. involving multiple victims, including two police officers,” the city said, urging people to stay away from the area.
