In the Gulf of Oman, U.S. Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted a boarding operation on the Iranian-flagged commercial oil tanker M/T Celestial Sea. The vessel was reportedly suspected of attempting to breach the U.S.-led blockade while transiting toward an Iranian port.
