The press service of the Ukraine’s Air Command East has released a footage of Ukrainian Vampire SAM system shooting down a Russian Kh-69 cruise missile with a low-cost APKWS laser-guided rocket.
The transfer of VAMPIRE system was first announced in late 2022 by the Pentagon and was mainly seen as a Counter UAS platform.
With this engagement , it confirms that the platform, can also be used to intercept higher-end threats.
