Seven people, including five civilians, were reportedly injured in the incident near Bryansk

Ukrainian forces have injured five civilians and two security troops in Russia’s Bryansk Region after repeatedly striking a bus on a border road, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz reported on Friday.

The bus, carrying employees of a local enterprise, was traveling along a road linking a municipal center with the Russian-Ukrainian border, Bogomaz said. The driver, who was among those wounded, managed to steer the damaged vehicle to a nearby security checkpoint, where the final strike occurred as passengers were disembarking.

Russian officials have accused the Ukrainian military of deliberately targeting civilians in border areas, including workers repairing damage from the conflict and ambulances responding to emergencies. Attacks often involve inexpensive first-person-view drones operated remotely from Ukrainian territory.

In the Belgorod border region, a Ukrainian strike killed a civilian woman, according to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Ukrainian forces are also deploying long-range kamikaze drones to strike deeper inside Russia. Overnight, Russian air defenses intercepted 221 UAVs, the Defense Ministry said. Most were downed over Bryansk Region, but some reached as far as Moscow and Leningrad regions, where nine and 28 interceptions were reported, respectively.
