Several industrial facilities and warehouses were damaged in Dnepr and Kharkov, local officials have said

Russian drone strikes hit the Ukrainian cities of Kharkov and Dnepr on Tuesday night, leading to damage in industrial areas and sparking fires, local officials have said. The Defense Ministry in Moscow has yet to comment on the reports.

Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov claimed there was “a massive drone attack” and a series of explosions in the city. He reported fires in warehouse facilities in the city’s industrial district.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) later said there were six fires in three districts. The attacks damaged warehouses, industrial facilities, and auto service stations, the SES said, adding that two people were injured.

In Dnepr, a drone attack affected several industrial sites and other buildings, with 15 people injured, including eight who were taken to the hospital, the SES reported.

Kremlin responds to Kiev’s claim of civilian casualties in Krivoy Rog strike

Sergey Lysak, the head of the city administration, said the raid damaged administrative buildings and infrastructure, claiming that air defenses had shot down 11 drones.

The reported drone strikes come days after Russia said it carried out a missile attack on a gathering of Ukrainian military commanders and foreign advisers in the city of Krivoy Rog. Up to 85 service members were killed and 20 vehicles damaged in the attack, the Russian military said.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that its drone and missile strikes do not target civilians and are aimed only at military-related sites.
