Iranian military has released a video showcasing its underground missile storage site.
In the video released by state media, two Iranian military leaders responsible for the country’s weapons programs are seen riding through a long, weapons-packed tunnel.
As they drive through the facility, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, and Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force (IRGC-AF) commander, showed off some of Iran’s most sophisticated missiles and rockets.
This includes Kheybar Shekans, Ghadr-Hs, Sejjils, and Haj Qassems, as well as the Paveh Land Attack Cruise Missiles. The country has used some of these against Israel last fall. From the look of it, the attempt is to showcase that Iran can withstand an attack and deliver a response.
The video was released amid threats from U.S. President Donald Trump who issued a two-month deadline for Tehran to reach a new nuclear deal.
While the idea is to deter any potential military intervention from the Washington, Iran must come to terms with the fact that the U.S. military has the means to demolish these fortified structures.
