Hey everyone, I made a quick (and easily sharable) video on the ArcGIS mapping project I’m working on. It’s nowhere a finished project, but I figured that this may help some people in the meantime.
There are absolutely better ways of doing this, however this option offers the best blend of capability, with ease of use. In short, if a person is in emergency mode, all they have to do is tap a link on their phone. No learning, no installing an app, just tap and go. Likewise, first responders who want to integrate this into their own maps and apps are absolutely free to do so. Two or three taps will allow one to export this map to either ATAK or CalTopo, so the options are numerous and as seamless as possible.
For those of you with ArcGIS accounts, there is also another public map on my profile, which is available for those with active Arc subscriptions. For those without an ArcGIS subscription, don’t fret (and don’t buy one), I am mostly populating the free and public map. Esri puts a lot of their content behind a very expensive paywall which most people don’t really need. But for those who already have an account, it’s there.
When moving from crisis-to-crisis, the archive of historic incidents is also available on my ArcGIS profile, so there will be an archive of all of the events tracked.

I’m probably covering 1% of the world events when we conduct these briefings, so please remember that if I left it out, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s unimportant. I’m also doing this in my spare time, so again I fully admit that these briefings aren’t even close to being perfect; I’m going for a healthy blend of speed and quality. If I were to wait and only post a brief when it’s "perfect" I would never post anything at all. So expect some minor errors here and there.
