Ever since I did a video on Germany and its procurement and modernisation woes back in 2022, I’ve felt it would only be fair if some of NATO’s other notable performers in that field got some attention.

Today we’re going to have a look at Canada’s defence strategy, its strategic geography and its long record of procurement and budgetary adventures.

So take a seat, ready yourselves, and let’s see if Germany is about to find a worthy challenger. This is meant to be entertainment, try not to cry.

Note that there is at least one audio flub this episode – I refer to the UK Type 26 in passing as being a proven design (meaning from a sales perspective) not from a combat perspective (given they aren’t in service yet).
