More and more people understand Moscow’s position, Kirill Dmitriev has said
Kirill Dmitriev, a special envoy to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has called a meeting with US officials “constructive,” in comments to journalists on Tuesday. The two delegations met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
The Kremlin said earlier that Moscow planned to convey to the US some information about settling the Ukraine conflict during the talks.
Dmitriev met with US President Donald Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. They talked for more than two hours behind closed doors, according to TASS.
“The meeting was constructive,” the Russian official told journalists in a brief comment after leaving the US venue at Davos 2026, also known as the USA House. “More and more people recognize the soundness of the Russian position,” he added.
Witkoff also called the meeting “very positive.” Neither he nor Dmitriev provided any details about the conversation.
