The Russian president will be making his tenth visit to the country, and the first since 2021
Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to arrive in India on Thursday for a two-day state visit.
Putin is expected to land in New Delhi at around 6:30pm local time, and will have a private dinner with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday evening before the two leaders hold delegation-level talks on Friday.
The visit is set to include discussions on collaboration in the defense and space sectors, as well as talks on the joint production of Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jets.
RT India, the Moscow-based global TV news network’s Indian channel, will be launched on December 5, coinciding with Putin’s visit.
The India-Russia Business Forum is also being held in connection with Putin’s visit on December 4-5.
